That'll be Brown's Pie Shop, next to the Wig and Mitre, just up from The Widow Cullen's Well. As opposed to The Brown Spies Shop, which is a well known steampunk cloak and dagger outfitters. Badda- BING!!

There appears to be 72 full tickets left at £43 each. You could buy some new outfits at the Bazarre?...
Good Idea! Still kinda low on budget this month, but if they are reasonably priced - why not? I am trying to arrange some transport to Lincoln then...

It isn't about the outfits only surely? I am trading and may have to come on the train with all my stock etc. Several outfits is probably not an option for me and as I don't know anyone I didn't buy a ball ticket. It is for the fun and social experience not a competition for clothing surely?

No reason to be intimidated re outfits (or any other matter, for that reason!). Last year there were all types present; with fun and socialising very much at the forefront; just for some of us the planning of outfits adds to the fun of the event! Its definately no pretentious fashion parade, like some other festivals may be.

I'm one of the early ticket purchasers. I've got my email confirmation and ticket numbers.
From what I understand, I need my print out to pick up my tickets, but from where?

Same here - I don't know anybody, my other steampunk(ish) friends can't go as their family comes to visit at the same time. And to be honest I am new to UK steampunk scene (I am Polish), but I reckon I'll do fine Just got my lift sorted, so Asylum - here I come! Now - just to finish my steampunk mechanical heart

I also pruchased early and received an invoice which listed our ticket numbers and how much to pay. I plan to take this as proof of my purchased tickets. We have later purchased additional tickets from the new system and printed out the new version tickets for those. From the Asylum webpages: "If you have booked using the old manual system then you need only bring your ticket number and can claim your passes. " Lady Fe

While I realise these things often have the accuracy of reading the tea-leaves or chicken entrails, the weather forecast for Lincoln next weekend appears fairly reasonable. Looks like it'll be generally dry and overcast with some sunny spells, not too windy, highest chance of rain overnight Saturday/Sunday, and an average temperature of 18c. Hope that's useful, if not, don't mind me, I just have a fixation with matters meteorological.

If it's too warm it could get uncomfortable in all those layers of clothes...as long as it doesn't persist down all weekend it should be just dandy!

Very quick and possibly silly sounding question: Is there any way to either pay for certain parts of the weekend individually, or purchase a ticket on the day? My friend and I plan to attend, but are not quite surewhich day, due to family commitments! Any help would be greatly recieved!
Ava.

Indeed Captain, that was my concern also. Don't want to cook or freeze, and an anorak with a bustle is a bad look! XD

Heaven forbid if it rains Saturday evening though, as I don't know how I'll get from B&B to the Lawns (it will be a tad difficult to fit in a car once fully attired!)

Ignore my previous post. I've just read the Ticket information page on the Asylum. I pick them up from the control area Which I assume it means Space/Time Control area.

A big Thank you to all 'previous' Asylum Inmates who have been answerring all the questions while the Major and I have been off line over the last few days. We had to go and do a job or two, to pay bills and eat. We are now back at base till Steam -off. Like kick off but more tastefull.
We installed Commodor Rankins Exhibition yesterday in The Collection, Danes Terrace, Just a short stroll down Steep Hill and to the right. It is Sculptures and Illustrations from some of his books. and it all looks fantastic. So if you have time do go down and have a look.
Do not forget if you feel like being a host or hostess over the Asylum weekend please wear a red rose. Then any of our new inmates can come over and say hello and be introduced to some new friends. I would love to see lots of red roses over Lincoln so no-one feels alone or left out. We are the friendliest group I have ever met.
So looking foward to this now. Lady Elsie.

I'll have my HiLux. It has a 6ftx3ftx4ft load bay in the back. With a little help we may be able to slot you in sideways without creasing the outfit too much. I'm not entirely sure of the law on seatbelts if you are surrounded with bustles, ruffles and multiple petticoats. Perhaps if it's raining I could do a quick trip to pick up several of the ladies. I'd guess that if we put you in there top to tail then we could stack quite a few of you in there. I have the most wonderful mental image of pretty girls in lovely flouncey dresses all stacked up and tessellated.

I have a rather nice vintage brolly, but the thing's so old I really don't want to get it wet! Thankfully my ballgown is supported by acres of taffeta and tulle, so I can squish myself down without too much trouble if a cab becomes unavoidable. Weather. Really cramps one's style, what? And does it turn into a pumpkin at midnight?
