(As this is a spinoff of the sewing thread I kept it under Anatomical. If another location is deemed more appropriate, please move. Smiley )

I noticed some recent chatter in the sewing thread about creating costumes for dolls. Does anyone have any images to share of doll-sized steampunk clothing or accessories?
A friend has recently brought Blythe dolls to my attention. I'm still looking for the right girl to adopt but, once she arrives, she will definitely be getting some steamy garb!

Oh yes, yes, yes  Cheesy
Currently I own 4 dolls and a head. Two are dressed in fantasy garb, but the others are more victorian inspired.
In a month or so I will recieve another doll, a larger one, and she shall be my clone! Well, we'll have matching steamy outfits at least.  Cheesy

I can certianly tell anyone that mkaes dolls clothes, yu could make a fair bit of money selling to the Asian Ball Joint doll market, we thinknothing of dropping £50 on a decent outfit!

see this for inspiration!

Hehe thank you  Cheesy
Those are my favourites aswell. Nymrah will eventually get a black similar dress to Deneve. Beryl will have a victorian inspired outft aswell, and I'll most likely sell Jack...  Sad

There was a cool feature recently in COILHOUSE magazine (richly flavored with Steampunk and Neo-Vic) on Russian porcelain ball-jointed doll maker, M.  Bychkova , a couple of her creations stood out in Steampunk style...Ex

I have been making steampunk Barbie clothes and accessories for almost 10 years, but my main speciality is My Little Ponys. Upuntil about three months ago I was making customs, but due to money getting tight and time running away I had to give it up as a hobby. My trademark with ponies is intricate paintwork, for example my pony called Barnard 33:

Thanks Victoria! I'm actually turning Deneve into a panda girl at the moment for this weekend's anime con, since I;ll be wearing my panda outfit  Cheesy

I watch her on DA, Ex, and she's absolutely amazing. I wish I could afford to have one of her creations.

And Darkshines, that's an awesome pony  Grin

Here's a pic of one of my BJDs in a somewhat steamy outfit. (I may have used just a little Photoshop on the image!)

Mrs. Coppernut, your dolls are all so beautiful!

I only have one girl at the moment, and nothing steamy for her yet, though she'll be getting some stuff soon, as soon as I finish sewing my own stuff. XD

Masuimi Axelle Max (Doll) as Alice and Puck as the White Rabbit, "Alice in Steampunkland". Clothing by myself (FlowerBite). Original Concept by myself.

I know it's not over-the-top steampunk, but it's nearly impossible to find goggles, canes, parasols and the like in the proper scale for dolls. Ones I like, anyway. ^_^

      Dear Flower Bite,

I like the sofa, too. Did you make it yourself?  It seems difficult to find appropriately sized furniture for large dolls, so I'm looking at making some myself.

No, I bought it at a local chain store here in the US called Ross for $14.99. It was originally pink, but I covered it with the black and white stripe. I bought it several years ago, and I'm not sure if they still sell them.

Hope that helps!

not exactly a doll but my light up yard Santa rides on the front of my truck when the season hits.
(apparently I do carry a redneck gene)
I converted him to 12 volts and he glows nicely, altho he's a bit worse for wear. this year is his 8th season. even the local police have come to expect to see him!

he has proven more popular than the garfield cat in the torture rack I had in the back window of my old boat tail riviera, I had quite a few women threaten me with bodily harm when they spotted it. Roll Eyes

I think there is a major manufacturer of doll house kits that also sells furniture kits of different scale to use with doll displays. no idea what exactly to google to find it.

Ooh! I love seeing all of your creations! They are so inspiring!
I had not been a "doll person" until one of my scrapbooking friends started bringing her girls to scrapbooking meets/retreats. Now my first girl is enroute to me and I am looking forward to customizing her and creating Renaissance and Steampunk clothing for her. I am excited about intermixing my various hobbies.
