Hello all, I was wondering if a Sunday 'Hangover cure brunch" at our Skinner St. tearooms from say, 10am to 2pm would be of interest? Start with a stiff Bloody Mary as a hair of the dog, followed by a good old Yorkshire fry-up of bacon, eggs, sausage, black pudding etc. Plus toast, tea or coffee. What do you think? Any interest? Best regards, Mike
Seeing as my partner and I's apartment is down the road from you, a sunday breakfast in such a fine establishment sounds perfect. count both of us in! Would you cater for vegetarians on that day too?

Hi all and many thanks for your input.
First of all, you are most welcome to take tea on Saturday afternoon. We will stock up on clotted cream and scones! Also, we will stay open a little later as you requested. But all of this needs to be arranged with your elected organiser as you did last year please.
Sunday Hangover Cure Brunch. It looks as though there is enough interest, so we will open.
IMPORTANT! Please telephone our tearooms on 01947 602823 and book with Trish, our cafe Manageress. (Not Monday as we are closed). Please note that your intentions made on this forum will not be taken as bookings, so please do ring to secure your table. We will be able to offer a vegetarian option. Our offer to open is on the understanding that all guests participate in the Brunch. Sorry, but there will be no alternative meals on Sunday. We will be open from 10am until 2pm. More details later.
A big thank you again for your positive input.
Best wishes, Mike

The last twice we have visited Botham’s they have had no Vanilla Milk Shakes. Would it be possible to have Vanilla milk shakes for Whitby Goth Weekend?
Miles.

Either somebody left the phone off the hook or the communication channel to Bothams has been cut by Pirates (like the second reason best!)
Tried ringing to book and will endeavour to get through and do just that.

Oh don't be so silly, there's no way you'd be able to drag the Endeavour all the way up Flowergate. The traffic is always terrible up there....

Hi all, I am a photographer, I am interested in doing a project on Steampunks and thought that Whitby Goth weekend would be a good place to start. I have previously photographed the Goths here and this work can be seen here http://www.grenvillecharles.co.ukI would like to do a similar thing with steam punks, if any one is interested or could tell me where would be a good place to go where there would be a large gathering then it would be much appreciated. Thank you kindly. All the best, Grenster.

The best place to go would be the Rifle Club as it's 'steampunk central' for the duration of WGW.

I am sure you will catch up with the crew of the Discombobulous over the Whitby weekend... alas we are of limited numbers this time, but we will certainly be out in force. Just follow the large group of photographers... no doubt you'll find us somewhere nearby. Seems we only manage to walk a few steps normally without being stopped again!

I will hopefully be trading at the Rifle club, or at least I've sent my form off... Hope there's still space! It's set to be a busy weekend, I think. Just hope we have the weather for promenading!

Weekend of Steampunk pleasure Lexxy, I just wanted to check. Is the upstairs at the Rifle Club open to all Steamies each evening as well as daytime, or is it only open to Steamies who are attending the live music? I thought I'd best check as alas, myself and my friends aren't really into live music, but dearly wish to meet up with fellow steampunks over the Whitby weekend...

There's not much point me booking any sort of Brunch as I'll most likely have to leave at 12 on Sunday , and besides I'm going alone and am a corner lurker by nature, so I will not be seen more than perhaps once in steam gear at any steamy event .

Morning all. What a lovely Saturday morning it is too! The following a bit of a cut and paste from earlier. However, if all goes well, we might have someone tinkling on the ivories (No smutty guffaws please) as you take take tea or coffee.
Up to now it looks as though about 14 booked to take brunch. Obviously, we would need quite a few more to make it work. (Sunday hours for staff of course)
We are proposing a fixed menu only. The normal menu will not be available - sorry. We will offer a Reviver Brunch. Bloody Mary or Fresh Fruit Juices Bacon, Sausage, Black Pudding, Mushrooms, Tomato, Fried Egg and (Beans Possibly) A table with a selection of Breads and Croissants, Preserves, Marmalade. Coffee with refill or a Pot of Tea. Cost will be approximately £10 per head, or a bit more if we include the Bloody Mary of course. (£12.50) Available from 10am to 2pm.
I feel sure that you will understand, but please can I just say, that we won't be open just for a coffees on the Sunday and we would expect all guests to partake in the Hangover Reviver. If you would like to take part in the reviver, please telephone us on 01947 602823 and ask to be put through to the cafe, where Trish, our manageress will take your booking details.
Many thanks. Mike Jarman
