My newest creation, the multi lens monocle thingy.  I'm not one for creating great names so ill just describe it.  My goal this time was to create something new from common items, in this case jewelers eye loops.  I wanted to go a bit farther than just gluing them on something and calling it an original item so I came up with this apparatus.
Three lenses rotate around a central snap. Two lenses are green and brown and have very little visual distortion, the third is a jewelers loop magnifying lens 10X.

Cool! And a nice multi-task for the snap apparatus, as well. Might have to nick that bit....

I have been toying with the idea of the under utilized snap pivot for awhile, I'm sure its been used allot in the past.

if you could lower the harness sap to just above the eye and place a snap in the center of the lens apparatus you could probably picot the lens apparatus without having to unsnap it thus making it easier to change lenses in a hurry.

*EDIT*   I just realized that is exactly whatt you did... oops. for some reason i looked at it and thought you had a snap in the middle of each edge and were unsnapping it to change it...  Embarrassed

I love it! It puts me both in mind of War of the Worlds and City of Lost Children.

Now that I have a working prototype monocle I can continue onto a larger setup for two eyes similar to the optometry device shown below. Just need to steam up the work!
