I just got back in touch with one of the local photographers who does a lot of pinup type work around here, and what do ya know, he's been thinking about branching out and working with some male models. Something may actually come of this!

When I showed a friend of mine the calender, she was puzzled by the fact it had both male and female models. I do not personally have an issue with it at all, but I can see her point of view that when people pick up a calender with a lady on the front, they expect ladies all the way through. What would the reality be in having two calenders for the two main genders? I'm sure my better halfwould be up for doing a picture.

What if we did 2 pics per month? Something like a main picture, with a smaller secondary, maybe off to the side kinda? Flip the genders each month, so there's always one of each but its male-primary one month, female the next.

I had another thought on this project, too. I'm amused by the historical dates we included on the 2010 calendar, but they aren't very practical. What say y'all to changing that for the 2011 version, to list upcoming real-life events? I'd probably need help in researching them, but it sure would be nice for the calendar to remind steampunks of upcoming steampunk and sp-friendly events.

That's a shame, Mr Inkerman, I'm sure you'd have made a great July! On a similar note I am also withdrawing. Time constraints and lack of a photographer are all contributing factors. I know there's a long reserve list, so there'll be no shortage of replacements. So that's January free for the ladies. |

Tee hee! He is going to do his best, its a case of getting an outfit together at the last minute, our current options are coal miner, something military or just a general gent. I have no idea if he is keeping his tasche and muttonchops though, I don't know if they scream "pin up". They certainly scream "steampunk" though, lol!
My first shoot is on Monday, I shall be wearing shades of peach and cream in the grounds of Cardiff castle and hoping to god at least one blossom tree has made it into bloom!
