ok, ive been through and made a couple of changes to the list, hopefully i havent missed anything, and keep in mind, those on the standby should not feel they have missed out, as i have stated that in this case, they are officially first choice for the next time this happens

^ That is essentially what I am doing having worked for a print company and still have a good account with them. They can do all the calendars at a good rate also, send me a pm and we can compare prices. Perhaps once the final files are done you could print the UK ones and I could print the North America ones to save on shipping. We can work out details like paper type and binding later on. Looks like Landscape is the main choice so that is what we shall go with. All pictures can be emailed to steambook@gmail.com with "Calendar" in the subject heading so I know which project it's for. That would make alot of sense, have two production places, one in europe, one in america. I will ask for a quote. Where do we stand with generating the artwork? Will there be/is there a design team of some sort? I've got some designs for the page layouts going now that we have decided on landscape. The border colour will match the picture it is going with, just like the matte on a frame, so that people who choose colour over sepia and vice versa may do so. It doesn't limit us to one style of colouration. For those of you wanting to do a pin-up project, check out the pin-up deck of cards. Just as fun as the calendar, but people get to play with you! (sorry for the bad pun) http://brassgoggles.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,18613.0/topicseen.htmlCheers!

Panic time! Having been bumped up to the official list I now need to decide on wardrobe (if any LOL), theme and location! And February of all months! Perhaps a crossbow toting cupid? DB

Who's going to be the cover girl/guy for this? If no one is listed for it, might I suggest Frau Tankgerhausen?

Oooo, good point, we do need a cover. I think it is better to go by the list though as those people did sign up first and have been waiting. We can also take a vote. We still have to see who all submit their pictures as well. We still may end up with some dropping by the way side as the dead line approaches.

That may be the British standard -- I wouldn't know -- but here in North America the cover page of a calendar is usually a photo that doesn't appear anywhere else in it. Frequently, this is indeed an entirely different model.

How about a group shot of ladies and gentlemen for the front cover? There were a few images taken at Lincoln that would work!?

For the cover perhaps, people could submit hopefuls, the editorial staff could narrow it to several that would work well, and then hold a vote. I know, I didn't want votes for the contents, but for the cover, it seems an idea... Especially since the editorial staff has done the first narrowing.

Part of me wishes I had joined and seen this thread earlier, however the other part remembers I'm getting older and my figure is not what it once was, so perhaps this is best left to the beautiful younger ladies *^_^*

I've not seen your other pics, but if your avatar is anything to go by, you have nothing to worry about. As for age... Others in the calendar (well, me at least) are certainly older than you as well.

It is a shame that so many people fail to realize the true beauty is not in how prefect the model is, but in the pose it's self. Pin-up is about inviting the viewer into an image that they should not be in. The key is the intent of the model, not how they look. I've seen some fabulous pin-ups that may not have had the youngest, skinniest, fittest, or most beautiful model, but the pose and intent of the model's eyes really capture the feel. So I should see none of this "I'm to old" or "I'm not in shape" business! It's silly waffle! If you would like to be involved in some pin-up poses the playing card deck still needs filling. And if anyone wants advice on how to pose feel free to message me, I've got a few years of experience both as a photographer and model. I would be delighted to chat with anyone needing some ideas on how best to get a good shot for their body type.
