I contacted them yesterday to get the case dimensions to see if it fits in my car phone holder.  Am still waiting for the depth dimension, but the others are below and they'll be updating their website shortly.   Pricey at $95 USD for the brass case, on the other hand they are supposed to be all handmade on-demand, and anything made in my old stomping grounds in NYC is not likely to be inexpensive. markf

BTW - these pointless rotary dialer apps would look great with the case, so yup, I'll download 1 in the near future for sure.  I also enjoyed the developer's description of his/her product in b.  markf

(a) http://whatsoniphone.com/reviews/dial-plate-rotary-dialer-iphone

(b) http://whatsoniphone.com/reviews/steampunk-rotary-dial

Developer's Notes:

An artifact of a history that might have been, the Steampunk Rotary Dial delivers all of the glamour and inconvenience of rotary dialing. It offers realistic sound and dialing behavior, and a synchronized clockwork mechanism which you will want to watch in action over and over.

Even those who are unfamiliar with the neo-Victorian aesthetic will enjoy watching the gears spin and whir as they rediscover how we used to dial. Make a mistake? Can’t remember which number you just dialed? Hang up and start over, just like the old days.

Whether you’re a luddite, an antique collector, or just someone who’d like their phone to match that pair of brass goggles they have hanging in their closet, this is the rotary dial for you.

And rivets, and little copper pipes and manifolds, with maybe a tiny recessed pressure gauge.

Ya, they are pretty blank.

That's a strong plus in my book, mind you.  Nothing stupid to grind off before working it over.

I agree with Utini, blank is good for customising to suit Smiley .  As they are brass we can solder on other brass bits easily too.

That is so cool that I'm honestly tempted to buy an iPhone now just so I have an excuse to get that brass case.  And if I did, I would also get the second rotary app.
