Oh no! Nothing horrible I hope! I do hope you feel better soon dear!

It was a chest infection, but I am feeling much better now, thank you.
I was made to take amoxicillin. Horrible stuff. Penicillin smells vile.

I think you're supposed to swallow it, rather than snort it... Wink

Hehe.
That made me giggle. What I meant, is that you can smell the stuff inside the capsule and it's horrible.

 Cheesy

I'm sorry you had to take that sludge - it is pretty horrible.
But topping that is Vicodin on an empty stomach.

Nearly the worst 6 hours of my life.
I suppose it could have been worse.. *sips tea*

Well, if the Pope is still Catholic, then yes, I have some whisky. Mind you, it's only Bell's in the hip flask, but if that'll do you?

Decided to show up, once again. I've been traveling too much, it's time to come home.

How are you, ladies?

*spots Dr Hastings, and stops sipping her cup of tea* Ah, Dr Hastings!  Pleased to make your aquaintance, I've heard somewhat of you, But I told 'em I didn't believe a word. Well... mostly.   I don't like to impose, but if you wouldn't mind giving the old ticker a once-over some convenient time, 'twould be much appreciated. Touch of the old hypertension, want to be sure I haven't gorn and overdone it.  Just been on an expedition into darkest Cannon Hill Park, y'see - had a bit of a run-in with Pirates on some lake, and our ship was holed and we had to run for shore pretty damned quickly before we sank.  We found a native train, but the ruddy thing just went around in circles, so then we had to trek across country till we found civilisation and a good cup of tea, before making our escape from the green.. well, hell isn't really the right word, it was quite pleasant, really, but the heat! *looks a little wild-eyed* Oh, the wretched heat, it's enough to drive one insane!  First native coach-wallah didn't want to wait around for our party to assemble, so we were stranded, and had to start walking until we found an omnibus station. Dratted strange things, those omnibuses, can't work out where they keep the horses. Touch of dark magic in 'em you ask me, not really proper transport for decent gentlefolk, but we had no choice, d'you see?  Still, it got us to the city centre, and we were able to make our way back by rail from there.  *suddenly falls asleep, snoring loudly*

Tickled pink to know my fame precedes me, and, when that one awakes, be sure she gets a nice glass of ginger tea, with a lime and lemon in it, would you? That should clear up any tension she's got.

So! How have my tea-mates been, since my disappearance? It's probably been FAR too long for you to remember me!

Ah!  If Dr. Hastings is here I assume it is again all right for the odd gentleman to drop by?  And yes, I assure you I am a sufficiently odd gentleman.

*proffers bottle of absinthe*  I recently picked this up in Paris.  Or perhaps I shouldn't say "recently"...I have, as you know, the ability to make unexpected visits rather all over the calendar map...and I assure you my companion *gestures to odd greyish fellow dressed in a choir robe, with a slouch overcoat in addition - at that point, if it was not noticed earlier, it becomes clear that Mr. Tesla is similarly attired* had nothing to do with this particular beverage.  I'd like to make a gift of it to the house.

Oh dear, sounds like Miss Moore had quite an adventure on Saturday. I agree with the Dr some ginger tea would do her the world of good. Ladies of a certain age, and I do include myself, need slightly more restoratives than you younger ones. So pass this lady a large Pimms please. Yes I know it is only just gone 10.am but its going to be another warm one today.

Ahh lovely....., now slip in a small gin dear........ Thats so much better.....

Urgh, work is awful, I'm so over it.

There is a job going in a store I LOVE, and I have been offered an interview with no questions asked, but its a MAJOR paycut, only a quarter of what I currently earn.... Sad

*sigh* It's always a quandary like that, isn't it?
The standard of life, or the job you like...

I wish you the best, in whatever happens in your future.
