I was always amused by the line, because I used to wear a lot of black (without ever actually identifying or looking anything like a goth), and then a few years ago I discovered Brown and Olive Green  Grin

I would say, go for it!  I heartily recommend any colour as long as it's not bold and garish  Wink  If you do have a fair bit of brown in the ensemble, a pale/muted/dirty yellow will go very nicely.  Likewise green, again either a pale shade, or a deeper, soft green.  A deep red also goes nicely, I'm not sure about pink mind... maybe it would.  Of course, I'm basing all of this on an assumption of some brown items of clothing  Smiley  Maybe post a pic of the items you'll keep wearing (or items you definitely intend to buy) and we can work from there in terms of colour?

I may not be a fashion guru but when it comes to colour I've been told I have a good eye for what works... I blame painting warhammers for 12 or so years of my life  Wink

Mmmmmmmm, summer!
How about lace and creamy colours, fawns, pinks, light greys, pale stripes with white gloves, cargo pants/dresses , linen blouses, underbusts and of course, a lace parasol.
I'm planning on doing cream lace dresses this summer and mix them with boots, short cut jackets and lots of hats. How about a steampunk summer hat  in browns and creams with cogs instead of flowers.

Purple! And emerald green. I love strong colours. I never really understood the goths only wear black thing, I've been a glitter goth for years.... Red, Purple, Neon pink, green, it all works.... What colours suit your complexion or bring out your eyes? Maybe a nice cornflower blue?

Visiting? I'm a permanent fixture, here.
And as for the wardrobe, sorry... I'm trying to figure out fashion, myself....

Thank you for the information, Dr. Hastings. I will most definitely check it out for myself.

Ah! I cannot believe the weather is starting to warm. I carry a basic color scheme year around, though. The only thing that changes would be whether or not I have a coat around my shoulders. Unfortunately, I am terrible when it comes to fashions.

I've previously avoided this place since gin gives me hives. I hope someone here can make me a Sazerac.

FOr the warmer months, I'm planning on making some plus-fours out of my cargo pants I've shrunk a bit too short.

Thank you all for your ideas and imput . I do like a good frock froth over a pink gin. At the weekend I was lucky enough to attend the hidden Planetarium in Brighton. Luckily the Major saw it hiding with his new large telscope, sorry I digress, There they were serving Hendricks Gin and tonic out of the most delightfull tea set. Perfect for us in here , so I had a cup for everyone. Hic and very nice it was , hic, too.

I have decided that I need a hat, for a show in April.  So, this weekend, I shall go thrift shopping!  Just for a hat though...and maybe a skirt...but no more than that.  REALLY REALLY.

For some reason, I pictured this as something like a girl's bathroom, where it is unheard of for a male to be inside. xD

That is probably true. There doesn't really seem to be a place here at BG where anyone goes, "No, you don't belong here.". It is wonderful.

So how are you this evening, Dr.?

Trust me, I've had my share of being tossed out of places, even here. But yes, it's a lot better then anywhere else.

And I'm, I've been better. But alls well, I suppose.
How are you, m'dear?

Why would you be thrown out? Were you being rowdy and obnoxious?

I'm doing rather well this evening. I'm having a neutral evening where nothing has really put me into a bad mood. I may go to bed soon, since its late, but I need to finish a biology project. And again, I procrastinate. I am to create a game about ecosystems and biomes. A little too young for a high school biology course, if you ask me. I'm using my role-playing dice for an interesting twist.

I'm never rowdy. Nor am I am i commonly obnoxious.
I simply, didn't fit in.

And that seems like a fun idea? But, biology board games? I agree with you on the tad young bit.

But alas, you have to do what you have to do.

I dunno. We may have to oddball-off to find out.

I had a discussion with my mom earlier today about how she pretty much gave birth to polar opposites. My sister is all chic, no geek. She's popular and will be really pretty once she grows into her face, and likes photography and sports. I'm all geek, no chic. I'm the one that wants to keep ugly pets because they are neat looking, and grows moss, and likes Victorian stuff and pretending to be an Elven ranger on Saturday afternoons. I know what it means to be the odd ball. xD

I've got my things. Like the inability to remember much anything.
Makes for interesting conversations...
Also prevents me from being a geek, and/or "chic".
I don't fit in with people :p
