I only went back to have a look at the Antikythera mechanism!

I'm wearing one of these, is it not a toga?

Oh my dear! I fear what you are wearing seems to be a chiton, shorter than a toga and more usually worn by young men! Perhaps I could help you find a stola?

And please accept my apologies for my long absence. In the course of my peregrinations I became somewhat embroiled in a plot to assassinate King James in England in 1611. It seems that those wicked men put to death for their complicity in the Gunpowder Plot were not the last conspirators and I seized a few moments here to see if anyone might be able to help prevent a second attempt employing a marine artillery piece directed at the royal coach? His majesty is more anxious than ever since the assassination of Henry IV of France.

Good Herrings! Mr.Bailey! How fares the merry crew of the Beau Rosin since last we met? (there was a bit of a dust-up going on with the people of Mars at the time)

I think we might have a problem here with poly-chronic diffraction and I have no idea how to call that mad man with the box; I'm sure he could set things right in no time.

Messires Brantley, Pulcifer,  and commanders MW and Frank and the Advance Party of the Dragon Corps (along with a certain Miss Alexis of our mutual acquaintance) are currently investigating an extremely odd series of occurrences in an alternate New Mexico, USA, after a particularly horrific Timewar centered on Earth in the South Seas of circa 1908 or thereabouts.

As for the current situation here, I have set up a  Chronojumper Modulation Anomaly to hopefully attract the eminent Gallifreyan and his Blue Box...

Sorry, ladies and gents... Software glitch. I hope I've tuned back in at about the right point in time.

Just a line to say how much I enjoyed the Welsh get together at Chepstow. The wekkend of May 13th 2011 will always be indelibly imprinted on my memory. The weather, exquisite, the company engaging, a true Steampunk extravaganza. I will draw a veil over the unpleasantness with the Dowager but I think the oaf who brought his goat along had sadly underestimated the effect that the crowds, and all that billowing organza, would have on an excited animal. I may revisit next week to see it all happen again, ashamed as I am to admit it, it was rather a jolly jape!
