Well, the target audience for my blog is people who have a modest amount of experience with electronics. If you've never picked up a soldering iron, it's probably the wrong place to start, though I hope you'd find it interesting anyway

That said, building circuits really isn't (normally) that complicated. For the goggles in the video above, I spent more time on arranging parts and getting it to look right than I did on actually building the circuit.
I'm a strong believer that most skills, electronics included, should be learned with a project in mind. So, what sort of electronic things do you want to learn to build? For learning the very basics, there's a lot of good material on the net already. I'm happy to answer questions, but without some more specific question it's hard to know where to start.
