Now that highschool is ending....after so many mistakes... -If you don't do drugs, you are better. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. -Just because someone shares interests with you, doesn't make them your friend. A good friend is the one who is there when you're at the absolute nadir. -Don't worry about school. Do what you find fun in it and do it with enthusiasm. Don't let others make you like stuff. -I'm sorry, but 98% of the kids in your school are, or will be by the end, total twats. -Being emotional doesn't make you weak. Being intellectual doesn't make you weak. -Read lots and lots and lots of books. It helps make writing easy. And it's fun. -Don't get into stupid fights. Just walk away. Unless honour is at stake. -Don't let people who are jerks bother you. And don't make concessions for them even if they are "popular." Find the people you honestly care for and stick by them. The rest can rot. -Be honest about what you feel. Be honest in general. -Try to find reasons for your emotions and actions. If you find out what makes you tick first, then no one else can. -Only take your own opinion when you consider something. If you like it, do it. (Well, unless it hurts people. Then you're just a jerk) -Have something to live by -Cliche, but so necessary. It may take some time to find yourself, but when you do, BE YOURSELF. -The cake IS unfortunately often a lie... -Figure money out early. -Don't let even the most intimidating teacher scare you. -Love is where the happiness of another is essential to your own. -It's a sad fact. High School sucks.

Take lots of photos of your children as babies. That way you can show them to their boy/girlfriends so as to cause the greatest embarassment.
Not very constructive, but why should your parents generation be the last ones to have the fun?
Corollory: Destroy all photos of you as a baby before you get your first boy/girlfriend.

Respect your teachers. They are overworked, underpaid, and still get up every morning to deal with you and your peers. If that's not a labour of love, I don't know what is.
Learn to hold your drink. Boorish drunkenness is never funny.
Take some time for yourself every now and then.

S#!+ makes flowers grow... but only if you know how to use it.
Nothing is less attractive then somebody desperate to attract someone else to feel better about themselves.
Sex is not the most important thing.
You can survive for long periods of time on nothing but boiled peas and carrots, be thankful that you don't have to, and savour every flavor you taste.
You can't save them all and you'll die trying.
Some things that you think mean the same, don't: sex does not equal love want does not equal desserve entitled to does not mean automatically getting differant does not equal bad High IQ does not equal smart smart does not mean you won't face struggle.
there are more but that'll do for a start.

Don't complaint about how you are, decide how you want to do and aim to that! No one has proved the existance of another life, reencarnation or heaven or hell. Your life is now, and if you're taking air and food, you better give them a good use!
If you find a zombie, shot to the head. If you find a vampire, aim to the heart. If you find a werewolf, give him a doggie cookie. If you find Tchulhu... run for your life, hide or do whatever you want, it will be the same.

Sometimes the wisest thing you can say is nothing at all.
Speak little to learn to hear, speak from the heart to learn to listen.
A man of few words should choose them wisely
Even if death is not the end of you, it is the end of yourself, and you can never get it back.
Do not forgive, time lost is never regained, but do not hold grudges, for it is a far greater waste.
What once was, never again.
While I may complain of memory loss, though I am still young, I too wish to forget my past some. There are things that even I regret. But keep what you have, your past is what comprises your future.

Teenagers are animals... they prey on the weak, roam in packs, follow their emotions and their is usually a hierachy! Try to remove yourself from this as much as possible!
The world is a fraustrating place where idiots will be treated better than geniuses!
Having sex will not change your life, no matter what your friends tell you!
There is a pick 2 rule of 3 for most things: eg: strong, cheap, light... pick 2
Your opinion will not be taken seriously unless you are between 25 and 55.... younger and you will be viewed as not being experienced enough, older and you will be viewed as being out of touch.

Simple advice for younglings...
1) Cut the strings and escape the Puppet Theatre.
2) All of us should treasure John Dillinger's Oriental wisdom and his preaching of a Zen-like detachment, as exemplified by his constant reminder to clerks, tellers, or others who grew excited by his presence in their banks: "Just lie down on the floor and keep calm."
3) Belief is the death of intelligence. As soon as one believes a doctrine of any sort, or assumes certitude, one stops thinking about that aspect of existence.
4) You can make fun all you want, but when the Zebra talks people listen.
And know that some day you may find comfort in the following,
5) I do not want your admiration now, because I do not want your insults in the future. I bear with my loneliness now in order to avoid greater loneliness in the years ahead. You see, loneliness is the price we have to pay for being born in this modern age, so full of freedom, independence, and our own egotistical selves.

My greatest advice would be "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". That goes for everything. Before you make a comment, think, "how would I react to these words?". If you are at work, always aim to give the service you would like to recieve. Rarely in life do people change their minds after you have said "But I was only having a laugh!". No-one is having a laugh. You feel ashamed because you crossed the line, and the other person is upset/offended at what you said. Saying that isn't going to make them go "oh, alright then, well as long as its a laugh, then thats ok!". My other advice would be "do something every day that makes that day worth living". This is smething I picked up after battling with depression all my life. I would get into a downcycle, and spend m days in bed, upset, moping around. Then I would be even more upset because I wasted the day, and the visious cycle would continue. Even if its reading some books for school, complimenting someone, telling your family you love them or doing a chore, it will make you smile and feel better

I 2nd the note on the teachers. These people bust their assesand we give them therapy bills (or was my year 11 science class the only one who did that?)
NEVER BE AFRAID OF MISTAKES. We all make them, it's what you do when you make them that counts. Make it right if you can, accept responsibility and punishment graciously and them move on. Do not dwell, do not get paranoid about doing it again or what people think. Mistakes are chances to learn both about the way to do it right and about yourself.
Be the bigger wo/man. Don't turn your back on someone in need because they did so to you, lead them by example. Do not fall into the trap of lowering yourself to someone else's standards.
Pay attention to the people around you. Even if they don't speak their body language will clearly tell you if they are uncomfortable.
Be patient with those who seem odd or strange, especially amongst the young. Often they're the ones who have already been through a lot of crap and need that little bit of support to see them through.
Don't let appearances decieve. The majority of those freaky punks with the bright green mohawks have studied, are studying or informally study politics, society, philosophy, the arts, psychology... you name it. People aren't just their clothes and fashion sense. Behind the rough looks there are often fascinating people with good hearts.
Don't be afraid to follow your dreams. If you want it you will find a way to make it work no matter what others say about it.
Stand tall but temper yourself with humility. You are unique, you are special, you are smarter than you think, but you are also surrounded by people just like you who deserve, at the least, courtesy.
Know yourself
Stay true to yourself.

Hm...well, I'm young, but I was raised an an incredibly sensible mother, so may I add...?
-If you are truly passionate about something, do whatever it takes to learn about it/master it. You will always succeed. -In the reverse, if you don't want to do something, don't let anyone bully you into it. Everyone else may be drinking/doing drugs/sleeping about, but that doesn't mean you have to. It's entirely possible to have a good time sober. -Just because you'd rather stay in with a book than go out clubbing each night does not make you a boring person. -Looking good is all very well, but beauty fades. Make sure it is not your one and only good trait. -Avoid taking sides and always view both sides of the story. Make up your own mind and stand by who you think is right. -Sometimes you need to swallow your pride. If you've wronged somebody, and they are blameless, you and you alone should apologise.
