For those of you who don't know (I did do a search, and it doesn't seem to have been mentioned here yet) EIDOS Montreal has finally announced that the second title they will be working on is indeed an extension to the critically acclaimed (and QUITE Steamy) Thief series.

From their press release:
"Were in the early development stages for Thief 4, but this is an incredibly ambitious project and a very exciting one. It's too early for us to offer any specific game details, right now we are focused on recruiting the very best talent to join the core team at the studio and help us make, what we believe will be one of the most exciting games on the market."

I for one, am VERY excited.

Excellent!!!  Had better polish the arrows and oil the lockpicks.  Thief 3 is a superb game.

I havent heard about it until now. I havent even played any of the prior. Despite my interest in investigating, I dont have the funds to approach it Smiley

If you all want more information, head over to www.ttlg.com/ and you can find a whole community of people willing to help you out.

But NazT: you might find that there is some factionalism around T3 vs T1&2. (This is mianly because T1 & 2 are BETTER.  Wink)

And Lucifargundam: in this game you don't investigate - you ARE the Thief. It's SUPERB. You can pick up old copies of the games occasionally from various sources. People on the Forums will help there. Once you have the T2 disk, you can then get access to all sorts of Fan Built missions, for FREE!

LOL... it's ok, they didn't actually use the name of the game in their post.

Yeah I've played all 3... Smiley  I liked the way the game worked in 3 but you are right 1 & 2 are better for ideas, game play, weapons in fact almost everything.  Smiley    I loved using water arrows on the steam robots, and the rope arrows were a brilliant idea!!! much better than the sticky gloves in 3.  Still as a game in its own right I still loved Thief 3.
