I'd rather people just sent a calender to me. I will sign in person, and then send it back at say half the cost, as in they pay half and I pay half. I have a paypal address. Afterall, you want something of me, I am merely offering a service. If you were asking for say, Bon Jovi or Matt Damon's autograph, how would you expect it to be sent back? Out of their millions of dollars. I didn't make anything from this calender, I did it out of the goodness of my heart, so maybe bear that in mind.

I'd be more than willing to pay postage both ways, of course. Or perhaps send something that the receiver might value

Lets not be stereotyping! I'd prefer cash Tongue
Mostly just because those are pink, though and I don't like pink.

My apologies, they are actually a deep ruby red, however the extremely bright light seems to have made them look pink.  Next time I photo them, I shall reduce the power to the artificial sun by a few million degrees and they will appear a much more pleasing shade of red.

I believe I've not made myself clear Darkshines.  I meant, that instead of sending you cash for the postage, that you might prefer a few carats of rubies instead, as I have a surplus.  Not that the person doing the autograph would need to do anything other than autograph and ship it back.
Sometimes when I try to explain things it simply gets more jumbled, and for that I ask your patience.

If I want a calender to be signed, I am more than willing to pay the entire amount of postage both directions.  It should cost you nothing but a bit of ink.

Hopefully it makes a bit more sense now. And I apologize for the confusion.

And hopefully this is red enough.  Ruby,  with ruby laser lighting.  Wink

OK, I've gotten prices on all the shipping so far and I've sent emails to everybody who's ordered from me so far. If you don't get an email with totals and the PayPal account to which to send the money, please let me know so I can either re-send or figure out what's wrong. Thanks everyone for your patience.

I just sent this off myself.  And for those who aren't familiar with paypal, please choose send money to a friend option. if it's listed as a purchase, it will deduct a fee from the amount of money he gets and he'll be short-changed.  Unless you've given them direct access to your bank account.  I use a card for my transactions.  One calendar only cost me 78 cents in fees, but I still don't want to make that simple mistake and have to do it a second time to make up for it.

I'll be contacting those interested in signing my calender for addresses shortly via pm.

Actually I didn't even know that. Never done this kind of thing before. I've just used it to send money to other places. Good to know.

Just giving folks a heads up. I may be off-line for a bit. The weatherfolks here in Memphis are forecasting around a quarter inch of solid ice overnight, with continuing wintry mix throughout tomorrow and a possible total accumulation of ice, sleet and snow of up to seven inches. I realize there are many of you out there for whom that would be piddly-type weather, but for us down here in the sunny South, it's pretty annoying. Tends to rip the powerlines down and such (and great ghawdess, these people don't know how to drive in inclement weather!). For that reason, should the weatherpeeps be correct, I may well be unable to get online for a bit. So if I'm off-line for a few days, I'm not taking the money and running! I'm just living by oil-lamp and gas-oven heat. I'll let folks know what's going on as soon as I'm able.

I'd just discovered this myself, as I didn't want to leave a possible fee to chance, and read their rules.

For reference the quick version of the fee schedule can be found here:

And of course you must make sure to have it adjust for the currency being paid.  There is a simple drop down box to select what the funds are to be paid in, and an "update" button right next to that which will give you the current conversion.

Well, things are going pretty well here in the Frozen South® after all. Our internet was a bit glitchy over the weekend, but no loss of power (Even with nearly half an inch of glaze ice on everything and about two inches of snow on top of that. I'm impressed, actually. Usually that would have killed our power for days.) so I've an update for folks. Calendars are packed up and ready to ship. They should go to the post office later today. These are the people from whom I've received payment and who's calendars will be going out ASAP.

OK, the orders I listed which had been paid for (as well as Mrs. Coppernut's, who paid me just after) are well on their way. Please ya'll, when you get them, give me a shout so I know they arrived and that everything was good. To Oswald Bastable, Utini, George De Vraic, and Wells45: I apologize for not getting your invoices to you more quickly. The wife and I have been in the process of buying a house and it's taking a bit more of my time than I thought. Add that on top of helping my Mother out (who had her hip replaced a few weeks ago) and we've been busier than I'd hoped we'd be. That's not an excuse, just an explanation. I'll do my best to get the invoices out to you guys. And Mr. Poiselamppe, I have received your payment now. Thanks!

Yes, thanks indeed. Mine arrived via post today and I'll be sending it off in the morning to have the first autograph applied.  Thanks for the hours you've donated, and thanks to everyone who's submitted a photo.

I've had 2 offers of signatures to add to my calender,  again, if anyone whose photo is inside is interested I'll send the calender your way for a signature.  Post to the U.K. is supposed to be around $8 from my location, but I was quite surprised to find there would be no tracking available.

I will definitely be participating next year as well.

Yay! I really need to order mine, but I've been waiting for payday.
I can't wait to see them and thank you Mephit for all your hard work.

And I'll sign copies if people want. I'm in the states so that might be handy for some of the other US folks. Just lemme know.
