Trust me, good idea.

« on: March 09, 2009, 03:45:50 pm »

Well since we discussed then decided and ultimately voted this thread was a good idea here it is. This is by no means replacing the Steampunk Pinup Thread, where this idea was conceived and nurtured, it is simply in place to make the creation of the calendar project more orderly and sensible.

For all prior discussion and amazing pictures from many people on this site please visit the Steampunk Pinup thread at http://brassgoggles.co.uk/bg-forum/index.php?topic=13312.0 . The link shouldn't be necessary as it was quite a popular place but I'm attempting due diligence in respect to Miss Tankgerhausen.

So far this is the standing.

I've probably missed a great many things that should be mentioned, please help me fill in the blanks here. I'm by no means placing myself in charge of this project, but I will happily assist and more happily accept any assistance. Also at the request of several people participating in this topic could it possibly be posted as a sticky? But... thats everything I can think of at the moment so have at it.

For a brief moment I considered taking September as it is the month of my birthday, but I have no one to take proper pictures for me  Sad( parents are horrific at photography and friends are too busy buying houses and getting married ect )

So I must let it pass to another  Sad

Can I have February for ladies, please?  I have a red asian-themed steampunk outfit in the works.  And I've always had a desire to be in a pinup calendar. Wink  Kiss

Cool. Updated all the requests so far. As for the list I started with it was the complete one from the other thread bizarre. I didn't feel like sorting through how many pages for the requests, thats why I said if I missed anything help me out.

Also there was talk of charities in the other thread. I vote somethign international like some type of medical thing. In my family there is a special place seeing as both my grandmothers died from heart problems so we're a part of those ones. Thats a bridge to cross when we reach it though. FIrst and formost we need the pictures. Then we can edit them however necisary as well as have crtiques and reviews on them so we can get them as good as possible. After that it becomes a matter of formatting and manufactoring the calenders themselves before we find ourselves at distribution. All these stages are up for discussion although I'm fond of solving problems once we come to them so our priority wll be getting full lists, and getting pictures from everyone.

Yes that was mentioned even before charities, and is mentioned repeatedly. I just wanted to add my two cents as far as that discussion.Personally I don't even know how much of a profit would be made off of this and either way we won't know about the cost until we get to that stage, meaning we won't know about the price until we reach that stage. I'm fond of tackling one issue at a time.

Maybe we could split it 50/50 or 25/75 or something? I don't mean to sound rude, but I would personally rather the money go towards a charity, however, since we're organizing it on BG, it only seems fair to donate some of the proceeds to running BG.

Whatever works. I'm not gonna get into a big debate on it. I'm not in charge here and I'm not going to say whats going to happen. I'm just helping pull it all together, take a few pictures, look at the girls, and get a copy for myself once it's all done. I'm an engineer not a business major. Money isn't my thing. XD

I've been debating if I want to do this and I'd like to throw my hat in for August. I do have a question has anyone thought of a deadline?
