Just what the title said.

I need a new case for an Elgin I picked up with a missing winder. A while back HAC recommended a replacement case to me but unfortunately it was sold before I had the opportunity to pick it up. So now I am once again looking for a  case.

It's  16s 1901 grade 293 Elgin movement, and aside from not being windable it only needs a light cleaning. I am figuring to purchase a case and take the new and old parts in to the local watch repair shop to have the new case fitted. and get a professional cleaning.

Have you looked on ebay?

I found several listed by looking for "16s watch case".

Are you looking for a Hunter or an Open Face case?

hmm, I'll take a look on the Bay of E, at the moment it's in a open face case; so I'd like to continue with that look.

Hmm.. Not sure what to look for on there. It's the same site you recommended before but the case you pointed me at has apparently sold. The entry for "C581" links to the photo for the missing "C328" I had been previously looking at? what's that about? an error perhaps.

I'm hoping to find a simple silver or nickeloid case.

Will any 16s case fit my movement?

Yes, any 16s case should work. (try to find one that wasn't specifically made for a lever set, as the stem may be short..)
Another source..

Does anybody have a link to a site in the UK that sells pocket watch cases?
