Keep your seats. Ladies and gentlemen, the next round will be played using the 1851 Crystal Palace edition. All closed, planned and fictional stations are open, Overground stations are wild until a paisley token is played, then take three turns to achieve full speed. Lateral torque of Circle Line is 15 degrees anti-spinward.
Thank you señor. I take it that the last constraint will limit this rubber to sub-sonic moves and effectively eliminates warp speeds but more importantly time travel! In deference to the selected game rules and to honour The Great Exhibition - I will begin the game at Lancaster Gate. There, I shall promenade until the remainder of the players arrive.

My mission was to follow Mr Murakami to Kasumigaseki subway station.
I lost him in the crowd.

I do hope we're not too late, one of our female officers had a run in her stocking, and the lads were all trying various stores to find her a pair of replacements. I shan't mention the Camel in the phone booth incident...

Right! Let's for it then. Since closed/disused/fictional stops are in play, I shall make a cutting opening move and start at St Mary's (Whitechapel Road). Drawing... lets see, a blue token, a white, a pearly and a buckskin. And a 3 of hearts. Hmmm, that might come in handy...
Edit: Uh oh, I just noticed Auntie is changing tactics. She's a crafty one, that one. Keep an eye on her, lads!

I have a good feeling about St. John's Wood if no one has it in play already. So i'll start with that.

Jolly good, jolly good I say ... So I will make a move to BankOh splendid - it would appear that the move has earned me one naval bronze token, three pewter and a cotton one, unfortunately not Paisley, however, the game is still young! Er ... I also seem to have acquired a small, squint eyed and rather smelly dog, Jack Russell I think, once I've had it hosed down. I don't recall that in the rules.

Ah a person selling ipod cases...how interesting, but probably better placed somewhere else, I'd say. The message itself smacks of a person who has a nice product but no real understanding of this forum, or even the rules of the game... Ahem. I'm off to Shepherds Bush. I've collected three mock turtle shell tokens and a blue gander's snatch. Yes, I seem to have acquired a small dog as well...I'm not great with dog identification, but this one is small with long hairy ears. It's a bit damp, and muddy. What is this all about? brb Ok, I just checked the rulebook...apparently the dog acquisition rule is activated once a player commences play at St. Johns Wood, but only when the preceding player has drawn a buckskin token. I hope the game is quick...I don't want to be dragging loads of dogs around with me everywhere!

Seems to be more of a laddie. Let them get along like that, it just serves to slightly adjust the lateral torque angle of Circle Line.

Did you know? Vauxhall has entered the Russian language as "vokzal", as a common noun meaning that general sort of place.

Just to comment and embellish on this point whilst I watch this game, a lot of Russian engineers were trained on the art of constructing railway stations at Vauxhall station during the 1900s, hence the word Vokzal is the Russian for 'Railway Station' after Vauxhall Station. <retreats back into the crowd>

I see I've not made a move in a while. And what's all this canine falderal? Right, I'm going to move over to Walford East (though I don't understand a bloody thing anyone's saying over here), picking up a green copper token, and... What's this? Someone's just handed me a note. Hang on... it seems to have some sort of verse on it. "There once was a man from Nantucket, Who's co.... " Egads, I can't read the rest in such a public forum. It seems to be just... ... ... ... ... ... wait for it... ... ... ... ... Doggerel.

Deduction you say sah? Well then! I'll take advantage of the point-vacuum thus created to play my Dracula token, thus decelerating Japetus into a collapsing orbit, and use the resulting impact energy to power my aether converter, creating a station at The Titan-Jupiter LaGrange Point!
Also, I'll trade my Red and Woodland tokens for a Tartan token.

I'm just not a dog person. I'll try Slade Green.
Darn. This one's a big shabby thing - looks like a sheepskin rug on legs. It'll have fleas no doubt. The other two are hungry again, and looking at me with bared teeth...is there a pet shop anywhere in Slade Grrrrrrreen?
