An essential for amateur shock-smiths Smiley

Upon googling I found all the tables I came across to be lacking a column I wanted them to have or they were terrible quality, badly resized jpg's. So I made this and thought I'd share Smiley

Would this be a good place to post all the obscene Mnemonics that have been invented to remind you of the colour code sequence?

e.g.

Blackhearted
B*st*rds
Rape
Our
Young
Girls
But
Virgins
Go
Without
Good
Sex

I haven't seen this chart in years! way back in freshman year of high school. I can still smell the smoke of burning diodes and and exploding capacitors Smiley

I always found it easiest to remember

Black - Brown - Rainbow - Grey - White.

Once you have the sequence down, the bands go A.B*10^C with the 4th band (usually) as the tolerance.

As for the SI multipliers (Kilo, Mega,...) those are standard anyway, so I remember them separately.

But, cool chart.

Ahhh  Dr Q...

That rhyme has got me through 1 years of apprenticeship and 15 years of trade without ever needing to reference a written chart.

It'll be with me on my deathbed.
