I'm afraid the good Döktor won the point.  You need to be thinking more Bauhaus rather than Cosgrove Hall.   It really is a bit obscure.

I wasn't trying to "win" anything, I just like the Count.

I just saw they have an interview with the raygun maker from Weta on the io9 website. He is seen holding what looks rather like the thunderbluss.

Not that surprising, after all, I did credit it as an influence way back in the first post:

PS: I *might* have been a little inspired by Professor Grordborts 'Unnatural Selector'...

...and the Thunderbuss continues to inspire the Higgenbrocht Device. The recent barrel rebuild has a distinctive barrel funnel now. Photos are underway.

Sweet, fancy Christ, Dok.  I saw that thing in the gun megathread and thought it was a Grordbort until I saw the construction pictures.  It's amazing!

see, I'm in the process of creating my own ray gun device.

Herr Doktor is a true magician, and can see useful parts in every day objects. I have to work at it.

I never would've seen what he sees in a plastic champagne flute, or a roll of tape.

I need to look deeper than the face value of every day objects.

Hi. New to this but had to register to tell you you have another fan (sorry if I make any mistake in English as this isn'y my mother language and I don't use it very often) .

I'm suggesting an upgrade for this aparatus: vortex habilities:

But carefully, remember the tale:
