For Halloween this year, I was considering being a steamy astronaut, with an outfit based off of deep-sea divers of yore (that is, if my Harley Quinn costume fails to materialize). I was wondering what I could construct a suitably realistic old-time diving helmet out of. Thoughts?

Also... I think I shall pack an accompanying jetpack. To infinity and perhaps further, if I so fancy!

Paper mache would keep it fairly light, same goes with bits of plastic or it could be a combination of both!

I am making mine out of fiberglass. I am not even complete with this unit and I am already devising a SCUBAish ensemble.
