but..it's so small! After "teh awesum" that is the Space Helmet, I'd expected a full scale model! Smiley

Took a few days off the day job, and finished some private and personal work, including the CELESTIAL SPHERE!

I've added dirt and weathering, and the odd pool of filthy water.

Added a platform to raise cargo up to the hatch.

Note the red velvet curtains in the upper cabin control room

You need to make a scale-model Doktor now, with an appropriately-sized helmet.

Yes, quite so, a scale Doktor action figure is long overdue. markf

Herr Doktor, your sphere inspires the imagination and triggers a fond remembrance for a history that never was. As such, it is the essence of Steampunk design and philosophy. Thank you.

Sir, this...this win-engine is surely one of the most beautiful creations I have seen in a long, long time.  Well done to you *applause*.

From one model maker to another, Sir, that is truly smashing.  I love the subtle aging on the metallic finish, the curtains, the loading train.  The iris door does make me think of E.T.'s ship, in a good way.

And yes, I agree: it would do with a wee little Herr Doktor in his space helmet.

That is a very spiffing model. Smiley

I would like to see steam(?) from the exhausts though, don't know what other people might want though.

That is so beautiful, if I actually had a spaceship I would want it to look exactly like that.  As Miss Kins said, this is indeed a "win-engine".

The landing platform somehow reminds me of Outlaw Star.  I think that anime is just begging to be steamed.

Someone plese fetch the shrinkometer and set it to HO scale - I want to become miniaturised so I can play on that spaceship!

Nicely done there Dok, you work continues to inspire us all.

You called your cat 'Spot?"

You're weird!!

In any case, you can't see the cat hairs 'cos they are inside sticking to the finely upholstered Maquette seats next to the antique globe drinks cabinet.

It's beautiful.

Have you considered doing something like that for a living?

May I make another vote for a scale Herr Doktor with helmet and Sonic Rifle?
