Hmmm. I would have said
OQ for goggles. Or perhaps O-Q_
Perhaps the people talking over in the duelling thread would like to shoot each other with their
jo=== flintlocks?
Or their Etheric beam pistols?

I do believe that a retooling of the overused "ORLY" is required. Stop
I propose "IS" which equates to "I say." Stop
The old response was "YARLY" Stop
The new response should be "QS" or "Quite So." Stop

There's a function included in most bulletin board software that allows word filters, but the admins would have to implement that.

VF should stand for "very flash," which featured prominently in The Difference Engine. stop I looked up the actual word, and rather than denoting "coolness" or "snazziness," it is more specifically "Sporting." stop VF indeed, byJ, btb stop

By Jove! I never would have never thought that this thread would take off the way it has... And my own, humble monocle has risen the ranks to adorn even the luminous face of our main moderator, TinkerGirl. ^_Q -O=O- Your goggles, Madam! l^_^l BTC is another way to take care of the unscrupulous use of a divine being's name. As odd as this sounds, I had also considered this phrase before... Great minds must think alike, Mr. Wasteland!

Thank you, Sir. I appreciate the praise, and I would rather not look at this as such a debasement of language..rather, it should be viewed as short hand.

I had just experienced a minor revelation on a forum idiom that needs a SP makeover.
'edit'
You know what I mean right? Finish a well thought out post only to discover too late that you forgot to make an all important yet unwritten point, or that you forgot to go through to correct any of the more glaring misspellings(God bless Firefox's spell checker). Why not replace 'edit' with 'Postscript'? It feels more in line with the theme, now doesn't it?

Oh, well frankly- I already use "P.S."
It's just SO much classier. (As well as being shorter, and a well recognised convention!)

A true pity as its little things like that that are just out of the ordinary enough to be appreciated as well as normal enough to not get more than a passing glance by those who don't understand the meaning.

yes but they also used to provide a simple mail service at a reasonable $3.
What you got wasn't printed on aged paper, but it was very attractive and ingeniously folded. I reverse engineered it once -- perhaps I should dust it off and make a pdf for the Steam Community
