Here's a lovely just-woke-up picture from today (forgive the TV in the background... newfangled contraptions ruining my photographs!)... This is my absolute favorite dress I got for free at the Burning Man festival this past year... And see, Gabriel, my hair *does* get spikey! [snip] Ah, so it does! Nothing quite like bed-head. Mine either does a faux-hawk or Wolverine...
I'm liking the gown. Got kind of a Bride of Dracula circa 1974 going. That's a good thing.

Is *is* quite hippie... but so comfy, and looks great under a nice corset and overskirt. The shoulders even pull down (which I take full advantage of, I assure you)! With short hair, most of the time I don't bother combing it. I look like a putz if I do. I just wake up and let it be (yay for sneaky Beatles reference!), mess it up throughout the day, whatever. Teehee I'd like to see you Wolverine hair... or faux-hawk... hell, you have hair. I just wanna play with it

My hair does two things: slicked back in a tight poney tail (most days) or this massive blond mane that would look right at home in any hair band. Its not that I want it to do those things, but that's all it does. If I cut it short, I get a similar option: spike it up and look like Bart Simpson, or let it poof out like a blond Dandelion and thus look like my dad. I go with hair metal.

My hair tends to be an annoying pile of ... well, hair. Unless trimmed short. And I'm due for another haircut. >.>

Mine is behaving rather nicely lately. If I let it dry without brushing it, it does this very nice subtle ringlet-type curl. It's very wavy, so I like to do a layered cut, so it waves out at different levels. Rather 80s rocker, but not so big. I like it, most days. Today though, I didn't wash it, so it is back in a little pony tail with my bangs pinned back on both sides.

My first thought Come on, young fella! Shoot, use your eyes. Kuuuuu, in't you pretty! Are those snake-bites? Very nice.
You have rather lovely eyes, and likewise my eyes can't decide what to be; green, blue or grey, though they tend to stick to being in the middle a lot of the time >.< All to do with the blood flow in your eyes apparently.
Well, it's a bit late, but thank you both.

Also, I am quite devoid of goggles, which would make this so much better. My last pair broke, and were not Steampunk. ;_; And I haven't the money to get new ones, though I found a pair of real brass ones for $20.. Make some? The internet is so replete with goggle tutorials that even I wrote one I'm tempted to suggest knitted spats with brass buttons (there are half a dozen patterns on ravelry). I'm in favour of a collared shirt to go under the waistcoat or a long lace scarf tied like a cravat (but that's probably just me).

Actually, it was pink, and when I cut the dreadlocks out, well, my hair's naturally brown. The blond you see is the result of the pink washing out (I bleach it white before I put pink in). Never fear, though, it shall be pink again soon. Costumemercenary... OMG you're on ravelry too?!? YAAAAAY add meeeee! rav name's ClaudiaThorn ^_^ Gah I love that site so much...

Actually, that outfit *does* call for it... I wouldn't know where to begin modding one, though, I've never been a gun-toting girl myself.
A good start is one of the large waterguns, or the popular Nerf line - start with gold/brass spraypaint, and some brown for faux wood parts. There will be no shortage of people willing to give direction after that.

That one isn't! It took two days of tracking and several dozen tranquillisers but we finally managed to bring it down! It's being studied as we speak.
