It snowed! So I played dress-up in it. But not steampunk. Kayt, for some reason I was expecting to see a box of Turkish delight hidden in the corner, but your photos are quite enough to temp me astray without such sweetmeats (although please feel free to include said sweetmeats in any tempting astray atemps in the future as they are my favorites ) Such a wicked snow queen - quite delectable

New tattoos: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2681/4358606786_87e4af5e41_o.jpgPlus, I've been figuring out this Steampunk Hairstyle for Men thing from another thread...there it is, the Soaphawk. Part mohawk (punk), part soaplocks ('patent leather hair', soaplocks was a popular hairstyle in 1800's NY, i.e. 'Steam').

Here are a few iconographs of (some of the members of) G.U.E.S.S. taken at the Glasgow Historical Association Lecture on The Letters of Madeline Smith. Looks quite the party. Indoor lighting isn't always flattering, but everyone looks in their Sunday best. Was the lecture any good?

We were not in our finest, (saving that for the Ball in April) but we scrub up well. LOL ! The lecture was entertaining and quite informative about the "suspected murderer" Madeline Smith (see link below). http://www.theglasgowstory.com/story.php?id=TGSDH04

And it's very popular amongst UK 'Psychobillies' right now. Really? Must say that bums me out a little...Our Psychobillies (my sister's baby daddy was a Psychobilly rock star before their kid was born) all wear pompadours. I'm the only one I've seen in DC with this hairstyle. I'll have to keep that in mind when I inevitably come to visit Tribal Wren in London...I don't want to send the wrong 'symbolic language' message. I've tried parting it in the middle for an 'Old-Timey Pugilist' look...but it's pretty silly...

So Aetheria, Maggie Pie and Myself had a fun photo shoot this afternoon with the puppy Monroe. We ended up with a lot of photographs, and I do mean a lot. So here is a somewhat smaller sampling of the pictures we took. The daring group of adventurers. Some couples shots, some more hilarious than others. Miss Maggie Pie. Miss Aetheria. Myself. The hunter becomes the hunted! Goggle Dog! Sorry for all the pictures, we had far too much fun today. Hope you enjoy!
