One of my major hobbies for the past year+ has been 1/6 scale (Barbie sized) custom action figures/dolls. I decided to make a Victorian-era inspired bathing costume for my figure, Arthur. He's an original character from a story idea I have that takes place in a Victorian-inspired setting, and he looks wrong when more than 50% of his skin is showing. It just doesn't suit him at all.
I wasn't sure if this was more suited to Anatomical since it's clothes, or Tactile since it's for a doll, whom I also happen to be introducing with this post....
The bathing costume is made from spandex, with a pair of plastic buttons. The buttons are actually being used; they aren't just for show and there is no velcro. I drafted the pattern myself. Admittedly, it's not very steampunk on its own, but this forum helped inspire it.... I would like to make goggles for Arthur just because, but I haven't found an object that will fit his eyes right that is to my liking yet.
Arthur is a 27cm Obitsu slim male, with a #4 Obitsu female head. I did the face paint and hair myself. He is fully poseable and has changeable hands.
Here he is, with a straw hat to boot!

Shot of the back:

He seemed rather sad for some reason. Perhaps because I have no beach in my yard for him to enjoy? Or maybe he misses his chickens or doll. I haven't been sitting him with them lately.... It's tough to ask, since for one, the character is mute, and for another, he's made of plastic and has no life.

And just because, an older picture of him being surprisingly manly for his standards. In Barbie clothes, no less! (Though technically, the vest is from some off-brand doll. Kari Michelle, I believe.)

Lost in thought, and needing goggles....
