one other thing is that the group was known as “the guild” it seems this is what they were before it became the guild of calamitous intent. which this seems to be the event that probably turned them into it.

I saw this episode the other day, and was completely in awe when this scene happened! I was so excited!!!

I didn't think the Venture Brothers could get any better, but they have shown me once again.

Weird coincidence time:

I currently live in Sandow Crescent, named after Eugen Sandow, and opposite the location of his chocolate & cocoa factory in west London. (Now a major Nestle factory.)

Astrobase has been doing a Venture Brothers “Shirt of the Week” alongside each new episode as it airs… they chose this week to dump the “Rusty Venture” shirt people have been clamoring for and I was entirely disappointed that we didn’t get a “Venture Club” steampunk design on a t-shirt (because I would have bought that)…

Perhaps most interesting about this segment was the hints that a “Venture Club” would be something of the direct ancestor to the show’s Guild of Calamitous Intent, which actually is an interesting historical twist… the idea of optimism and hope turning it’s head into cynicism and evil.
