I saw the Telectroscope a few weeks ago on the “opening day” of the exhibit, it was most interesting. I am slightly ashamed to say that after a pint, I did “moon” the London Bridge.

What a marvelous device! I am sure this will revolutionize business, because we can now communicate across the oceans by holding up documents in front of the telectroscope. Since Dr Michelson’s work we know that light travels ever so much faster than telegraphy signals, and here’s a practical application. I am sure that one day all information will be transmitted over optical networks instead of cables.

I’m afraid I won’t make it, though I suppose I could still hop on a zeppelin, make for London, and be on time, but its financial concerns that prevent me from attending, unfortunately. I do wish those who shall attent a jolly good time and am looking forward to photographic documentation of the event!
