Whom Shall You Telegraph?

Why the Ghostbusters, of course! This dapper gent answers to the name Josh Freeman and for his attendance to the Comic-Con International 2007, he meticulously constructed this fine wood and brass “proton accelerator” complete with a deployable ghost trap.

Keeping the decorum of a true Gentleman, Mr. Freeman traded in the traditional though utilitarian jumpsuit for a ten button vest, ascot, and top hat which sports a Steampunk translation of the “No Ghosts” standard. You may examine more closely his phantasm extinguishing disguise by clicking thusly: Josh Freeman.

I'm a fan of "Ghostbusters", and I have to say that this is a completely well-done and unexpected take on the GB equipment.

I'm also a fan of Filmation's "The Ghost Busters" and its animated sequel--there, they used a device called the Dematerializer, which I've been doing a Steampunk version of (it's currently at the sketch stage). I might try to get what I have of it put onto the Brass Goggles page...
  • Hey Josh! It's good to see your costume finally got mentioned here.
I'm going to the con this year as my Steampunk Robot, so maybe he'll get to run into the Steampunk Ghostbuster.
  • Thanks, this year I got a new hat and am going to be wearing the coat seen in the flicker photos, just with different buttons. I'm probably not going to wear it all 4 days again. Got a couple other costumes I wanna wear.
  • Wow, I'm surprised this hadn't already been covered on Brass Goggles or I would have sent it in long ago. My boyfriend and I saw him at Comic Con this year from afar, made our way over to him, and then asked, amazed, "Are you a Steampunk Ghostbuster?" :D He said yes, and it seemed like maybe lots of people hadn't gotten what the costume was supposed to be, which is a shame. I think it's a fantastic costume, unique and really well done. Congrats to him for finally being on Brass Goggles. :)

Good show on that costume Mr. Freeman. One of the most innovative in this genre as I have seen, well done! :)
  • Wow, this was unexpected :) mostly because it's been awhile since comiccon. Thanks.
