Paradigm Literary Journal Steampunk Feature

Paradigm Magazine Steampunk Feature, Issue 3

I do not like to blow any brass instruments of my own, but just to say that the most recent issue of the Paradigm journal, from Rain Farm Press has a feature on Steampunk.  There’s a rather lovely collection of some of their favourite Steampunk images in the gallery and an interview (with some rather tricky questions!) that I did with the delightful Mr Fhur.  Click on the Features tab to get there.

  • Congratulations on a wonderful interview! Your usual charm and eloquence came across quite well. Many thanks for the kind shout-out.

Sorry Jake! Wait....so does that make me the Marconi? or worse yet..THE EDISON!? nooooooo!!!haha
btw Jake, I sent some folks over to you about a week ago...Germans, I think they were? Anything ever come of that?

    -~D~-
  • Well, when you put it like that...

All in fun, of course, I have no qualms with your choices :D
  • Tinkergirl
Yes, sorry about that Jake - they asked me for just three! It must pain you terribly to be the Tesla of the group.
  • Fantastic and insightful--except for that last bit ;)
  • Malcolm Ryan
    Ooh. "Patinaed phoenix".

    That gives me such ideas...
  • The Infernal Mr Adams
    Bah! ;)

I'm glad that you're article mentioned Weird West too! I have always considered Steampunk to be mainly British (or European, at least), but they mentioned Zeppelins in the Old West like it was just as important...that made me happy :)
  • Tinkergirl
Thank you, Mr Adams and Mr Tiberius - you're both very kind. Although you spoke too soon, Mr Adams - the Boston Globe has you covered for Datamancer and Von Slatt information. *chuckles*
  • Otto Tiberius
Really nice interview. Tinkergirl comes across as eloquent, knowledgable and self effacing which makes for a most engaging read. Many of my favourite little obsessions get namechecked too - The Prestige, The Warlord of The Air, Tesla etc.etc. Marvelous stuff!.
  • The Infernal Mr Adams
Yay! Its about TIME Tinkergirl got some love, enough with the Van Slatt/Datamancer interviews! ;)

    Congratulations, Tinkergirl!
