The Numa thing was too good.
I actually giggled during the pipe segment. It was funny in it's absurdity.

Or maybe I just have the mentioned unhealthy pipe-interest.

As the creator of "Steampunk Internet" I thank you for your kind words. Yes, in retrospect, I probably would cut down the "series of tubes" segment by half. I personally thought the Taft segment might have run a bit long too. You live, you learn, you make another video.

I'm so glad that folks found my work amusing. I had fun making it. Your reaction more than makes up for the embarrassment of squeezing my girth into that little gray union-suit.

(My favorite bit is the Star Wars Kid send up.)

The StarWars kid reference is when I started rolling. Very nice indeed. I do wish my tubes were wider, or at least less clogged.
I propose a new internet my fellows, powered by steam. With steam, the pipe systems would be self cleaning! We'd never again be impeded in our pursuits by slow or clogged tubes on our Instant-Telecomunicatable-Networking systems again!

Simply amazing site. I too am fond of things steampunk and the like. I came across your site while doing research for a pulp villain I'm working on with a friend. I am an aspiring writer with plans of publishing a neo-pulp comic. The Red Phantom.

It's a mixture of Hellboy, the Spirit, the Shadow, Dick Tracy. The comic (upcoming novels) will take place from the 1930s to the mid 50s. Horror, adventure, the supernatural, mobsters... It runs the gamut through pulp fiction to weird horror. From mystery men/suit & tie heroes to potboilers.

I've two requests. Can I put your link on my journal at Blogspot?

I mentioned a villain before. My friend Don, who's also an aspiring neo-pulp writer, and I have been working on a story arc which will encompass our heroes. He suggested an elderly Prussian gentlemen with access to clockwork/steamdriven technology and an ancient, abandonded evil city.

I fleshed it out in the following manner:

The villain would be a veteran of WW1 and of a previous conflict in the late 1800s. Obviously he would be quite old. He would go about in a clockwork/steam driven battlesuit to commit crimes and acts of terror not only because of greed but for a sense of adventure. Who says former soldier of fortunes become good in their later years? Getting back... He comes out of retirement after hearing how there is a rise of these adventurers righting wrongs, smashing evil and what-have-you. Naturally he runs afoul of my friend's character and my creation, the Red Phantom.

So my request is as follows: Feedback? Ideas? Suggestions? Links to invaluable resources?

Please contact me at NYCPulpWriter@gmail.com with the subject heading of Steampunk Villain. Please take your time and go through my journal at http://NYCPulpWriter.blogspot.com. Each entry (labelled Red Phantom notes:....) will provide you with the insight into my project.
