Steampunk Treehouse Fundraising Event
Both Mr Orlando and Mr Estee wrote to us know about the Steampunk Treehouse fundraising event on the 9th of June in West Oakland, California. The Steampunk Treehouse is a project to build a mechanical, and steam-filled faux-tree for Burning Man and probably other events too. It will be both a contemplative place, a piece of art, and a whimsical take on the Steampunk affection for both technology and natural science.
I do wish them the best of luck and it seems like it’ll be quite the event! With the Copper Lantern Fire Theatre, Kinetic Steamworks, the Dept. of Spontaneous Combustion and Jeremy Krentz and his Tesla Coil (as well as a great deal more) to provide entertainment. Sounds utterly, desperately, dangerously fun!
