Oh this is weird, I just stumbled onto this Thanks for the great comments on the books everyone.

They are all props for a Graphic Novel I’m writing. I’ve worked on several Stop Motion Animation productions and i wanted to use the same approach in the Graphic Novel format. All the images are shots of puppets, models and miniatures instead of drawings. It will take me a while to finish but it’s a fun project (my shop is growing full of 1/5th scale sets, props, puppets and miniatures). I just hope the feedback is just as good from the final piece

The ammonite book would also suggest 20,000 Leagues to this bug.

My shelf weeps at the lonely spaces denied fulfillment by the lack of these tomes. Oh, the writing and drawing those books could enfold in their majestic glory.

I’d be quite intimidated if I had anything even close to that to write in.

My first thought would be to fill that book with all the wonderful posts from Brass Goggles itself, a treasure trove of marvels worthy of any behinged tome!

Reading more into the history of Mr Tim Baker's posts, it seems it's going to be for a series of graphic novels which I believe (don't quote me, please, it's not entirely clear) he's writing himself.

I've also read that the other books contain puzzles and cyphers in the covers, and a working astrolabe. The images he's posted have been slightly photoshopped though, to prevent anyone trying to solve them early. chuckles I do love a good puzzle/riddle.
