The curiously named Octopod, wrote to point out the world and work of Mrs Vernon who amongst other things, paints as if possessed by the spirit of the ambassador to a place called Gearworld. Be warned that Gearworld seems to be a very warm place, and some of the natives do without clothing. Ahem. Other than that, though – Gearworld is a place of ancient and possibly growing machinery, with rooms that cease to exist after a while, and forests of pipes to go exploring in. Oh – and gears, lots of cogs and gears. Feels like a lot like Myst, in fact – in a good way.
