Hi

Yes there is a sequel to Larklight. In the UK it will be called Starcross, and is due for publication on 1st october 2007.

I agree with the previous poster. Phillip Reeve builds fantastic worlds. I had only read one chapter of Larklight before I had to rush out and buy the entire Mortal Engines quartet; and I have to say, the first paragraph on Mortal Engines is the BEST opening line I have EVER come across. With Larklight the inside covers have sci-fi'd victorian ads on, which are a wonderful touch, and show a beautiful attention to detail because all the products mentioned in said ads appear in the story.

I love Philip Reeve and I was dieing to get this book. The book was written for a younger age group then The Hungry City Chronicles but that did not stop it from being amazing.

This book has a very strong Steampunk feel and the strong character driven story that Philip Reeve is so good at.

I don't know if a sequel is coming but Reeve's world building always leave such huge possibilities for more stories.
