This (well, of course) rocks. suggestion: time for a steampunk strap; you could hang etched charms, gears, bits of chain, you name it-- of the thing, score and pink the leather, metal-edge it, add panels of fretwork or lace... a strap's a wonderful opportunity for a bit of play. Go for it!

I'm not sure if anyone will check this...But how well does it play? I'd assume decent, but once in awhile when some tinkers a guitar (NES Guitar for example) it's just for looks.

My post though is really to inform everyone of steam drums. When a drum is struck a jet of steam shoots out in predetermined positions. I wish I could find pictures to show, it's quite something. Perhaps I can find photos of my band when we adapted a whole lot of fog machines to do the same thing...It's almost as good as the steam drums.

Thanks Saikoro - you\'re right, that would be quite a sound machine! Not sure how you\'d do steampunk drums, but I imagine it would be very very heavy indeed!
wanders off, wondering about cog shaped drums...

Awesome! Ready to be played by its grandmaster, too! Now time to design a whole band's worth of steampunk instruments... maybe even combine them all in one ;) Now that would be an aural experience and a sight never to forget!
